Crónica del histórico concierto de la grandiosa banda X-Japan a su paso por Buenos Aires. Chronicle about the historic concert of greatest X-Japan when they played in Buenos Aires.

Miércoles 14 de septiembre de 2011. Podría haber sido un día más en el agitado ritmo de la capital federal; para algunos, un día de semana rutinario, con su tráfico, sus prisas y sus problemas… sin embargo, para otros no era sólo eso. Ese día era (sin lugar a dudas) el más esperado en la vida de todo fanático de X-Japan. Así, se cerraba una larga expectativa que empezó el 10 de enero de 2010, cuando anunciaron a Argentina como parte de la gira mundial.

Afuera del teatro, una larga fila -formada un día antes- se extendía, como preludio a lo que sería esa noche, única y especial; poco a poco los asistentes llegaban al lugar; la euforia, la impaciencia y la ansiedad eran visibles. Viajando más allá de la dimensión a la que la música puede llevar a un hombre, muchos fanáticos se entregaron a ese frenesí, que sin lugar a dudas quedará en sus recuerdos como un día muy especial en sus vidas, colmando poco a poco cada espacio del Teatro Colegiales.

Al ingresar, fuimos amablemente recibidos por la encargada de prensa de Yamato, Macarena de Oto, quien nos invitó a descubrir la magia que envolvía el recinto en este espectacular concierto. Nos sentimos transportados por unos segundos hacia las antiguas épocas en el que las voces clamaban (cual circo romano) a sus héroes en un solo grito: “We are X!” Y ahí, en ese momento especial, volvimos al presente y vimos a esta grandiosa banda, siendo los primeros en tener ese privilegio; aunque fuera solamente una prueba de sonido, sabíamos que los segundos eran pocos, para darle inicio a esta ceremonia musical. Afuera, el tiempo se hizo eterno para los espectadores, pero luego que ingresaran al teatro, esas voces volvieron a clamar su presencia. Y en un fugaz instante, ¡las luces se apagaron! De esta forma, daba inicio al evento más esperado del 2011 en la escena del J-music en Argentina.

Con una hermosa puesta en escena, X-Japan abría una dimensión de magia y gloria al sonido de cada nota, donde cada tema se convertía en un privilegio del cual pocos han participado, desde que la banda se fundara en 1982 en la ciudad de Tateyama en Japón. Con un  gran recorrido musical, la banda hizo partícipe a la Argentina de 29 años de carrera artística, con presentaciones en más de 30 países y millones de discos vendidos.

Durante la gran presentación, cánticos y agua volaron por el escenario, confundiendo a todos en un solo coro. Así, uno a uno los temas de un seleccionado e infaltable repertorio cubrieron con sus notas los alrededor de 1.500 corazones agitados y alegres, matrimonio musical perfecto con la banda. Llegada la oportunidad del intermedio, se aprovechó para tomar un poco de aire fresco, conversar con otros asistentes, tomar algunas fotos, mientras una imponente X se alzaba en lo alto del escenario. Un preludio algo merecido, porque ya todos sabían que Yoshiki, Toshi, Pata, Heath y Sugizo, regresarían recargados para elevar aún más a quienes se habían congregado para escucharlos, no sólo  jóvenes y adultos fans de la cultura japonesa, sino también metaleros de la vieja guardia, viajeros fans de otros países (algunos colombianos) y algunas familias Nikkei, residentes. Entre los rostros que traía la noche, encontramos a Roxana, una chica argentina quien nos contó emocionada que era muy especial el poder estar en esta presentación, pues había ido a verlos hace quince años, cuando la banda tocó en vivo en la ciudad de Osaka. Mientras nos contaba de su experiencia, hacía un paralelo entre las presentaciones en Japón y ésta; justo cuando ella terminaba de contarnos, estallaba de nuevo la música al fondo, ¡era el retorno de X! Y mientras los acordes los anunciaban, de nuevo las voces se alzaban: “We are X!”

A pesar de que ya estaba culminando el concierto, la gente no bajó el ánimo y el éxtasis fue colectivo cuando Yoshiki manifestó que Argentina sabe rockear, por lo que el pianista de X-Japan saltó al público, para dejarse llevar por la fuerza de la música y la energía de la gente. Después de unos instantes y ante el grito de Hide por parte del público, la banda dedicó un tiempo para hacer un homenaje tanto a su fallecido guitarrista como a Taiji, quien dejó este mundo el pasado 17 de julio de este año y quien fuera bajista de la agrupación japonesa. Vinieron entonces temas cargados de mucha emoción y de un gran significado, reconocido por los fanáticos.

La noche de X-Japan acababa. Todos sabían que el fin se acercaba. Los gritos, las arengas, algunas lágrimas, frases de amor y de aprecio brotaron de un frenético y apasionado público, quienes recordarán esta magna ocasión como algo que muy difícilmente se vuelva a repetir; el equipo de Bunka se despidió con una reverencia ante toda una institución en el mundo de la música. Esperamos nuevamente estar en cuerpo y espíritu, reportando de cerca la dimensión misma de esto que amamos y se llama Asian music. Nos veremos en el futuro, recordando a todos que… Bunka, ¡te conecta con Asia!

Wednesday September 14^th, 2011. Could have been a day in the shaken rhythm in Buenos Aires, for some, a weekday routine, with its traffic, its rush and its problems… however, for others it was just that. That day was (certainly) the most anticipated in the life of every fan of X-Japan. Thus closed a long expectation that began January 10^th, 2010, when they announced to Argentina as part of the world tour.

Outside the theater, a long line-shaped, one day before stretching, as a prelude to what would be that night, unique and special assistants gradually came to the place. Euphoria, impatience and anxiety were visible there. Traveling beyond the dimension that music can bring a man, many fans were delivered to the frenzy, which no doubt remain in your memories as a very special day in their lives, filling every space gradually at Colegiales Theater.

Upon entering, we were kindly received by the Press Officer Yamato, Macarena de Oto, who invited us to discover the magic that enveloped the room in this spectacular concert. We are transported for a few seconds to the ancient times in which the voices cheering (which Roman circus) to their heroes in a single shout: «We are X!» And there, in that special moment came back to the present and saw this great band, being the first to have that privilege. Even if only a sound check, we knew that the latter were few, to give musical start the ceremony. Outside, the time became eternal for spectators, but then they enter the theater, those voices again claim their presence. And in a fleeting moment, the lights went out! Thus was launched the most awaited event of 2011 in the J-music scene in Argentina.

With a beautifully staged, X-Japan opened a dimension of magic and glory to the sound of each musical note, each musical theme was converted into a privilege that few have participated, since the band was founded in 1982 in the city of Tateyama in Japan. With a great musical journey, the band came to share in Argentina of 29-years old musical career with performances in over 30 countries and millions of records sold.

During the great performance, singing and water flew around the stage, mistaking them all in a single chorus. So, one by one the topics of a repertoire selected and inevitable covered with musical notes of about 1,500 ecstatic and joyful hearts, perfect musical marriage with the band. When the intermediate time came, we were used to get some fresh air, chat with other attendees, and take some photos, while a massive X letter stood atop the stage. A prelude to something deserved, because everyone knew that Yoshiki, Toshi, Pata, Heath and Sugizo, come back recharged to raise even more to those who had gathered to listen, not just young and adult fans of Japanese culture, but the Metal old school fans, travelers from other countries (some Colombians) and some families Nikkei residents. Among the faces that brought the evening, we met Roxana, an Argentinean girl who told us excited that was very special to be in this show, she had come to them fifteen years ago, when the band played live in the city of Osaka. As she told us of her experience, made a parallel between Japan concerts and this it, just as she finished counting, bursting music again in the background, was the return of X! And while they are announced with their arrangements, again the voices screamed: «We are X!»

Although the concert was culminating, people did not lower the cheers and collective ecstasy was done when Yoshiki said that Argentina knows rock on, so the X-Japan pianist jumped the public to get carried away by the force of music and energy of people. After a moment, the scream of Hide from the public, the band spent some time to pay tribute as to his late guitarist as Taiji, who passed away on July 17^th this year and former bassist Japanese group. After, then came a lot of emotion-laden topics and of great meaning, recognized by fans.

The night of X-Japan ended. Everyone knew the end was near. The screams, the harangues, some tears, words of love and appreciation welled up in a frenzied and passionate public, who will remember this great occasion like something that is highly unlikely to happen again, the Bunka team said goodbye with a reverence for all an institution in the world of music. We hope to be back in body and spirit, reporting about the dimension of this love called Asian music. See you in the future, reminding everyone that … Bunka, connects you to Asia!
