Taiwanese singer-songwriter Saltcan releases new single ‘Don’t Cry Until I…’. The new single is conveyed as a monologue from a personification of the rain, trying to bring comfort to a person, hoping to be a medium for people to understand the language of the rain, and hoping that the “rain” can understand that love can be communicated further in different ways.
Saltcan said: “I am not good at comforting others, and I always feel like a person from a different dimension in such a situation, unsure if I am able to accurately convey my thoughts and feelings to the other person.”
‘Don’t Cry Until I…’ features deca joins percussionist Tu Che Hsin as drummer, and producer Sam Yang as bassist, collaborating with Saltcan on the arrangement and production. For the lyric video of this song, Saltcan also teamed up with her longtime artist friend OSO, whose iconic street graffiti style is showcased in the illustrations and comic drawings in the video.
Saltcan is the folk rock and indie rock project of singer-songwriter HsinTzu Autumn Hsieh (谢心 慈). The project is inspired by Hsieh’s past wounds and new experiences in life, and a desire to be able to be continually capricious. With easy-to-listen melodies and captivating vocals, Saltcan delivers her sincere and genuine messages to the world. Saltcan debuted in March 2024 with her first single ‘Trouble’, which left a deep impression on listeners with her unique voice and the catchy and memorable songwriting.
