Dialogamos con este famoso grupo de K-Pop quienes recientemente culminaron su gira europea Re:born este mes de septiembre. – We have interviewed this famous K-Pop group who recently completed their European tour Re:born on September.

Septiembre es el mes en el que el equinoccio de otoño marca la despedida del verano y la llegada del invierno, bajo la señal de la caída de las hojas. Y también marca diversas actividades musicales que mantienen a los fans a la expectativa disfrutando a sus artistas. España, Rumania, Polonia, Alemania y Finlandia están bajo el embrujo de Lunafly, quienes recientemente cerraron su Re:Born European Tour 2015. El año pasado, Latinoamérica disfrutó de sus canciones en plena primavera: México, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Perú y Brasil. Para este mes de septiembre, Lunafly había encabezado la despedida del verano europeo en Madrid el pasado 4 de septiembre, y al cierre de esta edición, la banda había cerrado con una gran ovación su gira en Helsinki este 13 de septiembre.

En 2012 Lunafly empezó su carrera musical con Sam, Yun y Teo, bajo el sello surcoreano Nega Network, con un estilo K-Idol pero enfocados a sonidos acústicos rockeros. “Super Hero” fue su tema que les abrió las puertas internacionales al ser cantada y compuesta en inglés. “Fly To Love” fue su gran debut discográfico lanzado en abril de 2013, siendo un doble CD, uno en coreano y otro en inglés de sus canciones; la banda se presentó con rotundo éxito en K-Pop World Festival 2013 en Túnez como invitados especiales; en ese mismo año, se presentaron en Japón por primera vez.

Luego de la salida de Teo, la banda se reconfiguró en lo que actualmente son un cuarteto, con la inclusión de Jin y Yub, y parte de esta reciente gira por Europa es su presentación pública. Además, Lunafly se ganó el corazón de las hispanoparlantes por su reciente canción “Quiero Besarte”, de su disco en español “Hermosos Recuerdos” con la ayuda de Trickcode y Fictioncami, luego de su gira latinoamericana al descubrir a Jessy & Joy en México. Por ello, mientras estuvieron en Madrid, logramos esta amena entrevista en el que los chicos se sienten muy agradecidos por ese cariño desmedido.

Colectivo Bunka. Gracias por esta entrevista. Ahora que tienen nuevos miembros, ¿han tenido alguna experiencia divertida o humorística durante sus shows?

Lunafly. Tenemos siempre un gran momento divertido durante nuestros conciertos. Yub y Jin estaban muy sorprendidos por la reacción positiva por parte de los fans en cada país, aunque al inicio pareciesen incomodarse un poco al respecto. No obstante, ellos siguen mejorando cada vez más. Algunas veces, ha habido situaciones anteriores en la que Yun y yo tocábamos en conciertos donde las fans nos arrojaban al escenario su ropa interior. ¡Eso fue muy divertido!

C. B. ¿Cuál es su opinión acerca de que la escena musical surcoreana empiece a ser más conocida por todo el mundo actualmente?

L. Evidentemente, muy bueno que los grupos surcoreanos hayan podido difundir su música por todo el mundo. Estamos muy orgullosos de habernos formado en Corea del Sur y siendo capaces de representar nuestro país internacionalmente nos parece genial.

C. B. ¿Quiénes son sus mayores influencias musicales?

L. Escuchamos diferentes tipos de música. Grupos legendarios como The Beatles son una gran influencia para nosotros. Estamos más o menos influenciados por grupos que tienen melodías de cuerdas y armonías.

C. B. ¿Cuál fue su motivación para hacer un álbum en español? Para ustedes, ¿qué fue lo más difícil en producir este disco?

L. Estando en México, nos encontramos con el grupo mexicano Jesse & Joy y nos encantó su tema “Corre”. Así que decidimos hacer un cover, teníamos muchas ganas. La reacción de los fans fue tan buena que decidimos hacer más covers. Y fue entonces que nos dimos cuenta de que debamos intentar de producir un álbum en español. Y en cuanto a la segunda pregunta, la parte más difícil fue la pronunciación y asegurarnos de que fuese tan buena como sea posible. Tuvimos la suerte de tener algunos grandes mentores de Venezuela y Chile, quienes nos ayudaron muchísimo. Estamos agradecidos.

C. B. En la historia de la banda, ¿cuál ha sido el concierto más inolvidable que han tocado? Y, ¿que lo hizo tan especial?

L. ¡Todos nuestros conciertos han sido increíble! Sin embargo, dos espectáculos nos vienen a la mente. Nuestro primer show en Japón fue muy especial por ser nuestra primera. Otro concierto que no olvidamos fue en México, muy especial porque fue el show más grande que hemos hecho, Creo que cerca de 5.000 personas se acercaron a vernos. ¡Fue fabuloso!

C. B. ¿Conoce algún grupo o artista español? Si no, ¿hay algo que le gustaría saber sobre la música latina?

L. Sabemos de unos cuantos. Enrique Iglesias es, obviamente, un artista a quien admiramos mucho. Russian Red es una gran artista. Su canción “My Love is Gone” es magnífica. Y claro, Alejandro Sanz es un legendario artista muy conocido.

C. B. ¿Qué bandas de Corea del Sur me recomiendan para que sean escuchadas?

L. ¡Lunafly por supuesto! Y nos gusta la banda Nell, que hacen buena música. También vimos recientemente a la banda YB en vivo y fueron fantásticos.

C. B. Cuando se imaginan el futuro, ¿cómo ven a Lunafly en su continuo crecimiento?

L. Espero que podamos seguir lanzando álbumes y difundiendo nuestra música por todo el mundo. Simplemente, nos encantaría seguir haciendo conciertos en vivo para todos nuestros fans.

C. B. Nuevamente, muchas gracias por tomarse el tiempo para esta entrevista. ¿Qué mensaje les gustaría dejar a sus fans españoles?

L. En primer lugar, muchas gracias por todo su apoyo durante los últimos años y por este reciente show. Estuvimos muy bien atendidos en España y esperamos volver a cantar nuestras canciones nuevamente juntos.

C. B. Por último, ¿tienes algunas palabras para la audiencia de Colectivo Bunka (incluyendo a todos los países hispanos)?

L. Una vez más, gracias por todo su apoyo. Esperamos que les guste nuestro álbum en español “Hermosos Recuerdos”. Seguiremos trabajando duro en nuestra música y esperamos poder verlos a todos pronto.

September is the month that fall equinox marks the farewell of the summer and the arrival of winter, with the falling leaves. But also, it marks various musical showcases that keep the fans on the lookout enjoying for. Spain, Romania, Poland, Germany, and Finland are under the spell of Lunafly, who recently closed their Re:born European Tour 2015. Last year, Latin America danced their themes in spring songs: Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru, and Brazil. On September, Lunafly had led the farewell of the summer in Madrid on September 4^th, and when this interview is posted, already they have closed this amazing tour with a standing ovation in Helsinki on September 13^th.

In 2012, Lunafly began his musical path with Sam, Yun, and Teo with Korean label Nega Network, performing and playing a K-Idol style focused on rock acoustic sounds. “Super Hero” was their song that opened the international doors being sung and composed in English. “Fly to Love” was his great double CD album debut released in April 2013, one in Korean and another in English, of his songs; the band performed with great success for the K-Pop World Festival 2013 in Tunisia as special guests; then, they performed in Japan for the first time.

After Teo left them, the band had to be setup again becoming in a quartet with two new members: Jin and Yub, therefore this tour it was their introduction. In addition, Lunafly earned all the heart of the Spanish-speaker fans with his latest song “Quiero Besarte” by his album in Spanish “Hermosos Recuerdos” who has helped by Trickcode and Fictioncami. Lunafly has been interested for our Spanish language that in their Latin American tour has found out Jessy & Joy when they were in Mexico. Thus, while they were in Madrid, we interviewed with them who are so grateful for that huge affection.

Colectivo Bunka. Thank you very much accepting our interview. Now you are introducing your new members, did you have some funny or humorous experience during your shows?

Lunafly. We always have a great time during our shows. Yub and Jin seemed very surprised at how good the reaction is in each country and at first were very awkward about it. They are getting better now. There have been a few times when Yun and I did shows before when fans would throw underwear onto the stage. That was very nice!

C. B. What’s your opinion about the K-music scene starting to become better known around the world today?

L. It is obviously nice that Korean groups have been able to spread their music around the world. We are very proud to be based here in Korea and being able to represent our land is great for us.

C. B. Who are your biggest musical influences?

L. We listen a lot of different types of music. Legend groups like The Beatles are a big influence on us. We are pretty much influenced by groups who have string melodies and harmonies.

C. B. What was your motivation to make an album in Spanish? For you, what was the hardest part producing it?

L. When we came across Mexico, we found out this Mexican band Jesse & Joy and we fell in love with his song “Corre”. We decided that we really wanted to do a cover. The reaction of the fans was so good that we decided to make more covers. And then, we realized that should try to produce an album in Spanish. The hardest part was the pronunciation and making sure it was a good as possible. We were lucky to have some great mentors from Venezuela and Chile who helped us out. We appreciate them.

C. B. In the history of the band, what has been the most unforgettable concert you’ve played? What made it so special?

L. All our concerts have been amazing! Two shows spring to mind though. Out first ever show in Japan was very special because it was our first ever show. Another show we need in Mexico was also special because it was the biggest show that we have done. I think close to 5,000 people came which was nice!

C. B. Do you know any Spanish bands or musicians? If not, is there anything you would like to know about Latin music?

L. We know of quite a few. Enrique Iglesias is obviously a very well artist who we admire. Russian Red is a great artist we like. Her song “My Love is Gone” is super! Of course, Alejandro Sanz is a legendary artist.

C. B. What Korean bands do you recommend that people listen to?

L. Lunafly, of course! And we like Nell who makes great music. Recently, we also saw YB band on live and they were fantastic.

C. B. When you imagine the future, how do you see Lunafly continuing to grow?

L. Hopefully, we can continue to release albums and spread our music across the world. We would just love to continue doing live shows for all of our fans.

C. B. Thank you very much again for taking the time for this interview. What message would you want to leave to your Spanish fans?

L. Firstly, thank you so much for all of your support over the past few years, and our latest show in Spain. We looked after very nice there and we hope to sing our songs all together again.

C. B. Finally, do you have any words for Colectivo Bunka’s audience (which includes all Spanish countries)?

L. Again, thank you for all of your support! We hope you like our Spanish album “Hermosos Recuerdos”. We will continue to hard-working our music and hopefully we can see you all sometime soon!
