Thailand has seen its latest star-in-the-making make her debut in the form of super-rookie Pami, a singer-songwriter who has just released her debut EP out of nowhere. Pami is signed to Thai label JUICEY, who is best known for being the label of Thai duo HYBS, which disbanded earlier this year, as well as the solo careers of each member Alyn and Karn. The label also represents Thai band TELEX TELEXs.
Pami, or Pam Sooksawee, hails from Phuket and is not new to the T-pop music scene, having first made her debut in 2017 as an artist with hit tracks like ‘I Don’t Like’ and ‘Ask Real’, with the former having over a million streams on Spotify and over 19 million views on YouTube. She is equally impressive on her socials, already boasting over 219,000 followers on Instagram and over 21,800 followers on TikTok.
She later on moved to explore the Mainland China scene, participating in China’s survival reality show The Coming One (明日之子), and emerging as a finalist. From the show, she then made her China debut as part of the girl group S.i.S in 2020. While in the Chinese scene, she even made her acting debut, playing the lead role in the movie The Mad Game (致命玩家).
Now returning to China, Pami moves on to the next milestone of her career under a new artist name, where she has immediately impressed with her heartfelt original songs written herself which combine a vintage mood with the emotions and feelings of the Gen-Z audience, allowing listeners of all ages to enjoy her works.
