Thai singer-songwriter Cupnoodle has announced that she is working on a new EP titled YUM ยำ, and has shown a glimpse of what’s to come with the first single ‘Piece of Mind’. The first single of the upcoming EP, ‘Piece of Mind’, is a bedroom pop, early 2000s R&B track with a slice of drum and bass influence. The song explores emotional and mental well-being, and highlights the importance of mental peace over perfection through candid lyrics and witty melodies.

Thailand has seen its latest star-in-the-making make her debut in the form of super-rookie Pami, a singer-songwriter who has just released her debut EP out of nowhere. Pami is signed to Thai label JUICEY, who is best known for being the label of Thai duo HYBS, which disbanded earlier this year, as well as the solo careers of each member Alyn and Karn. The label also represents Thai band TELEX TELEXs.

Home is where the heart is. But it was never that simple for Jakarta-based anthemic contemporary pop band lightcraft. Founded in Malaysia in 2008 while studying at the same university in Selangor, lightcraft have always felt a sense of displacement wherever they were. Seen as a foreign band on Malaysian soil, they persevered and persisted to the point where they achieved modest success in a country far from home. When they returned to Jakarta in 2013, they faced the same predicament: they were aliens in their own backyard.
