Por primera vez Colectivo Bunka participará oficialmente en el famoso festival musical y cultural South By South West 2013 (SXSW 2013), en el que diversos artistas de todo el  mundo se darán cita del 8 al 17 de marzo en la ciudad de Austin, Texas. Ric Quintanilla estará cubriendo y tomando fotografías de los artistas asiáticos como Galaxy Express y los de la Japan Nite, en el que se estrena como corresponsal para Colectivo Bunka.
