ASEAN Music Showcase Festival (AMS) is slated to return on its second edition with an initiative to help regional artists stay connected with their fanbase and introduce themselves to new audiences despite the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Garnering much attention at this year’s SXSW with her exquisite mountain themed performance, Enno Cheng’s live performances have been put on a temporary hiatus due to the pandemic. The pandemic has not stopped her from pursuing artistic endeavors, as she is not only working on a new album but has also been organizing her first ticketed online performance “Enno Cheng 2021 Online Tour- Sense Organ”. The show is designed around the concept of listeners enjoying the performance through their earphones as a global event that welcomes fans from around the world to partake in this one of a kind auditory experience.

For over 30 years, it’s the first time for SXSW turning physical lives to online concerts this year. Taiwan Beats invites four Taiwanese bands, Enno Cheng, Fire EX., The Chairs and NekoJam to play outside of the venue box. Stages of SXSW Online Showcase will be portrayed by Taiwanese iconic attractions varied from mountains, the traditional factory, indoor shrimp fishing to Taiwanese temples. Taiwan’s diverse and unique cultural offerings are dedicated through the series of lives and urban scenery.
Renowned Japanese artist Eiichi Ohtaki will release his hit album “A LONG VACATION” on March 21, 40 years to the day after it was originally released. To commemorate this 40th anniversary edition, his catalog of 178 songs that were released through his own label “Niagara”, will also be made available on all global subscription platforms for streaming from the same day.
